Coins, Gold & Silver Bullion Auction
This lot comprises a pair of white metal heptagonal commemorative coins presented within branded card mounts. One coin features The Tailor of Gloucester reverse design with the struck legend THE TAILOR OF GLOUCESTER. The second coin features The Tale of Peter Rabbit reverse design with the struck legend THE TALE OF PETER RABBIT. Both coins are secured within blue card mounts printed with UNITED KINGDOM 50p and CHANGE CHECKER. The mounts are joined by a central rectangular holographic adhesive label bearing the repeated printed text UNITED KINGDOM, UNCIRCULATED, BRILLIANT UNCIRCULATED, and CERTIFIED. No obverses are visible as they are enclosed within the presentation cards. No hallmarks or metal fineness marks are visible on the coins or their packaging.
Condition report:
The coins are presented in uncirculated condition within original packaging. The visible reverse of the coin inscribed THE TAILOR OF GLOUCESTER shows no contact marks or wear, retaining full original lustre. The visible reverse of the coin inscribed THE TALE OF PETER RABBIT displays high lustre with no visible surface damage. Both obverses remain obscured by the packaging. The blue card mounts exhibit minor softening to the corners and a central crease along the fold line. The holographic security seal is intact.
