The obverse is decorated with an eagle in flight, accompanied by the legend EAGLE struck vertically along the left margin. Centred below is a circular logo containing the characters P M and the legend Wessex Mint. The bar is further struck with the legends 1 GRAM and 999 FINE SILVER. The item is secured within a white cardboard and plastic protective flip fastened with three staples.
