Coins, Gold & Silver Bullion Auction
A 2025 Florida 1/2 Goldback note, of vertical rectangular form, containing 1/2000th troy ounce of 24 carat gold. The note is manufactured using aurum gold foil technology and features a central illustration of a kneeling figure in plate armour with a horse, set against a background of trees and a waterfall. The rockwork in the foreground is inscribed SPES and 1513, and the lower right corner bears the legend BLESSED ARE THE MEEK. The obverse is printed with the inscriptions FLORIDA GOLDBACK, NEGOTIABLE INSTRUMENT, and ONE HALF. Markings include the serial number CN63511, α 2025, GOLDBACK.COM, a stylised GB monogram, and AURUM. Marginal text states US PATENT 10,781,520 PRIVATELY ISSUED NOT US DOLLAR LEGAL TENDER. A lower text block is inscribed THIS GOLDBACK CONTAINS 1/2000TH TROY OUNCE 24K GOLD and EXCHANGEABLE BY GOLDBACK INC. IN US GOLD COIN TO BEARER ON DEMAND, accompanied by a printed signature. No other maker’s marks or labels are visible.
Condition report:
The note is in uncirculated condition. There are no visible creases, folds, or surface scratches to the gold foil on either the obverse or reverse. The edges and corners are sharp and undamaged. The item is supplied without a protective sleeve.
