A United Kingdom commemorative white metal five pound coin, issued to mark the Diamond Wedding anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and His Royal Highness Prince Philip. The reverse, designed by Emma Noble, features a stylised rose window design inspired by Westminster Abbey. The reverse legend reads TVEATVR VNITA DEVS, flanked by the dates 1947 and 2007, with the denomination FIVE POUNDS below. The obverse depicts a conjoined portrait of the Queen and Prince Philip. The coin is housed in its original illustrated card presentation folder featuring various photographs of the Royal Family. The folder exterior is inscribed 2007 DIAMOND WEDDING CROWN, HER MAJESTY THE QUEEN, and HIS ROYAL HIGHNESS PRINCE PHILIP. Interior text identifies the strike quality as BRILLIANT UNCIRCULATED and notes that this Diamond Wedding Crown Folder is subject to an issue limit of 500,000. No other maker’s marks or labels are visible on the item.
Condition report:
The coin shows signs of peripheral atmospheric toning. The reverse displays dark toning and patina around the outer rim, while the central field retains its original lustre (photo 1). The obverse is not fully visible for assessment. The presentation folder exhibits minor shelf wear at the corners and edges but remains structurally intact. The coin is securely housed within its original plastic blister pack.
