The reverse depicts the left-facing effigy of King Charles III, surrounded by the inscription CHARLES III · D · G · REX · F · D · 20 PENCE. The initials MJ are positioned below the truncation of the neck. The coin features a reeded edge and a crenellated border design on both faces.

Condition report:
The coin shows signs of environmental exposure and handling. The obverse displays significant dark grey to black peripheral toning and oxidation, particularly concentrated along the rim and within the recessed areas of the radial background. Multiple contact marks and fine surface scratches are visible on the raised relief of the Britannia figure. The reverse exhibits similar dark toning and surface oxidation across the fields, with numerous contact marks and fine scratches present on the effigy of the King and the surrounding legends. No protective capsule or original packaging is included.
