Buyer's Premium:

A 1910 United Kingdom one shilling coin, of circular form, struck in silver. The obverse features the right-facing uncrowned profile of King Edward VII, with the legend EDWARDVS VII DEI GRA: BRITT: OMN: REX. The engraver’s initials DES are legibly struck at the base of the neck truncation. The reverse depicts a crowned lion standing atop a Tudor-style crown, which divides the date 19 10. The upper legend reads FID DEF IND IMP, while the denomination ONE SHILLING is struck in the lower exergue. The coin is finished with a reeded edge. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the item.

Condition report:

The coin shows signs of environmental exposure and handling. The obverse displays significant circulation wear to the high points of the portrait and numerous small contact marks and surface pitting across the field (photo 2). The reverse exhibits substantial flattening to the details of the lion and crown motifs, with dark toning accumulated in the recesses of the design and legend (photo 1). No protective capsule or original packaging is supplied.
