This lot comprises two sets of UK definitive circulating coins dated 2015, presented in a black fold-out booklet and slipcase. The sets contain eight denominations: 1p, 2p, 5p, 10p, 20p, 50p, £1, and a bimetallic £2. One booklet is titled THE FOURTH CIRCULATING COINAGE PORTRAIT FINAL EDITION and features the obverse effigy of Queen Elizabeth II with the initials IRB below the truncation. The second booklet is titled THE FIFTH CIRCULATING COINAGE PORTRAIT FIRST EDITION and features the effigy with the initials J.C. The common obverse legend is ELIZABETH II · D · G · REG · F · D · 2015. The reverse designs include the Matthew Dent ‘Shield of the Royal Arms’ segments on the 1p to 50p, the Royal Arms on the round £1, and the ‘History of Technological Achievement’ on the £2. The interior packaging includes a section titled PAST COINAGE PORTRAITS referencing MARY GILLICK 1953, ARNOLD MACHIN 1968, RAPHAEL MAKLOUF 1985, and IAN RANK-BROADLEY 1998. The outer slipcase is printed with the logo for THE ROYAL MINT and the title THE FOURTH AND FIFTH CIRCULATING COINAGE PORTRAIT COLLECTION. No hallmarks or metal fineness marks are struck on the coins.


Condition report:

The coins are in brilliant uncirculated condition with full original lustre. The obverses and reverses show no visible contact marks, toning, or environmental damage. The interior booklets are well-preserved.
