A two-handled lidded sugar bowl or preserve jar produced by C.A. Pottery in Staffordshire, England. The vessel is crafted from fine bone china and features a globular form with twin scroll handles and a domed lid surmounted by a pointed finial. The exterior is decorated with a transfer-printed still life of fruit, including a large central peach, clusters of purple and green grapes, and red berries, set against a mottled yellow and green ground. Gilt accents are applied to the rim, base, handles, and lid finial. The base is marked with a black script backstamp reading C. A. Pottery Fine Bone China Made In Staffordshire.
Condition report:
The bowl is in good condition with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs. There is noticeable wear and tarnish to the gilt highlights, particularly on the scroll handles and the lid finial.
