A glass paperweight, of ovoid form featuring an internal sculptural core. The piece consists of a thick clear glass body containing two opposing translucent blue conical forms which taper towards a central horizontal white metal inclusion. The object is supported by a circular, flattened, and polished base. Several small internal air bubbles, known as seeds, are present within the clear glass casing, which is characteristic of the hand-blown manufacturing process. The internal blue conical elements are aligned to meet at the central ring. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the item.
Condition report:
The glass paperweight shows no visible signs of damage or significant surface wear. The exterior body is free from chips, cracks, and deep abrasions (photo 1). The internal structure remains intact. Small internal air bubbles are present as a feature of the production method rather than damage.
