The obverse features the fourth definitive portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank-Broadley, with the circumscribed legend ELIZABETH II D G REG F D 2011. The reverse, designed by Neil Wolfson, depicts a track cyclist on a velodrome with the London 2012 Olympic logo at the top left and the denomination 50 PENCE at the bottom right. The coin is housed in a clear plastic protective capsule with a black foam insert.
Condition report:
The coin appears in uncirculated condition with sharp, well-defined design elements and no visible wear. Both faces exhibit significant and attractive iridescent toning, showing hues of blue, violet, and gold. The protective capsule shows light surface scuffing but remains secure.
