An antique George III style tea kettle constructed from hand-raised copper with brass accents. The vessel features a tapering cylindrical body with a flat base and a copper lid topped with a cast brass acorn finial. The fixed handle is comprised of two flat brass supports riveted to the shoulder of the body, joined by a horizontal tubular brass grip. The kettle is fitted with a cast brass gooseneck spout showing a pronounced S-curve. There are no visible maker marks, hallmarks, or manufacturer labels present.
Condition report:
The kettle is in as-found condition with heavy surface oxidation and tarnish across all copper and brass components. There are minor dents and surface scratches throughout the copper body consistent with age and utility. White residue, likely from dried metal polish or mineral deposits, is visible around the brass rim of the lid and the shoulder. Small areas of verdigris corrosion are present around the handle joints and lid. The surface shows general wear and pitting.
