This United Kingdom 50 pence coin was issued by The Royal Mint in 2011 as part of the London 2012 Sports Collection series. The coin commemorates the Paralympic sport of Boccia and was struck in a cupro-nickel alloy. The coin features the Boccia reverse design and the standard heptagonal shape for the denomination. It is presented in its original Royal Mint illustrative card mount which includes official London 2012 and Paralympic Games branding. The obverse features the fourth definitive portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank-Broadley.
Condition report:
The coin is in brilliant uncirculated condition with full original mint lustre and no visible surface wear. The original presentation card shows minor signs of handling, including a small crease at the top centre edge and light rubbing to the corners.
