A UK 50 pence commemorative coin issued by the Royal Mint as part of the London 2012 sports collection. This heptagonal cupro-nickel coin commemorates the sport of Wheelchair Rugby. The reverse design, created by Natasha Ratcliffe, depicts a wheelchair rugby player in action with the official London 2012 Paralympic Games logo and the denomination 50 PENCE. The obverse features the fourth definitive coinage portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank-Broadley. The coin is struck to Brilliant Uncirculated standard and is presented in its original official Royal Mint illustrated card packaging.
Condition report:
The coin is in brilliant uncirculated condition and remains sealed within the original plastic blister. No visible toning, contact marks, or surface wear. The official presentation card is in very good condition, showing only very minor shelf wear at the corners.
