A 1986 United Kingdom commemorative Two Pound (£2) coin struck in nickel-brass by the Royal Mint to celebrate the XIII Commonwealth Games held in Edinburgh. The coin is presented in its original Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) illustrated fold-out card packaging. The obverse features the third definitive coinage portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Raphael Maklouf, with the inscription ELIZABETH II DEI GRATIA REGINA F D and the denomination TWO POUNDS. The reverse design by Norman Sillman depicts a thistle encircled by a laurel wreath. The packaging includes graphics of a Games medal, track athletes, and the official XIII Commonwealth Games logo.
