This collection consists of several pieces of Wedgwood jasperware, a fine-grained unglazed stoneware featuring applied white bas-relief sprigged decoration. The group is predominantly finished in sage green, with one piece in pale blue. The assortment features a large footed centerpiece bowl, known as a Sacrifice Bowl, decorated with a continuous classical frieze and an oak leaf and acorn border at the rim. Also included is a circular commemorative plate featuring a central scene of a mother and child with an inscription in a white relief cartouche reading Mother 1972. There are two small circular dishes in sage green depicting classical figures within oak leaf borders. Completing the set is a pale blue jasperware dish with a fluted rim, featuring a central mythological scene depicting two figures and a winged horse, possibly Pegasus.
Condition report:
The items appear to be in overall good condition. No chips, cracks, or professional repairs are visible in the provided images. Minor surface dust and small dark firing specks consistent with the manufacturing process are present on the matte surfaces.
