Live auction will start in __ days and __ hours

Start price: £10

Buyer's Premium:

An assortment of UK and international currency and items of costume jewellery contained within a decorative hand-carved wooden casket. The casket is of undulating form, the lid featuring relief-carved maple or plane tree leaves within incised foliate borders, and a purple velvet-lined interior. The numismatic content includes UK bronze and cupro-nickel issues such as an 1899 Victoria Veiled Head penny, 1945 and 1951 farthings featuring the wren design, a 1947 George VI two shilling piece, and a 1961 sixpence. International coinage is represented by a mid-20th century West German 10 pfennig piece. The jewellery comprises an articulated link bracelet set with rectangular-cut purple stones and a fine link neck chain.

Condition report:

The wooden casket shows surface wear to the finish, minor scuffs, and an accumulation of dust. The velvet lining is intact with light fraying at the edges. The coins are in circulated condition, generally ranging from Fine to Very Fine, with natural toning and surface marks; some bronze issues exhibit instances of verdigris. Jewellery items show light surface wear; metal fineness and stone identity are unverified and recommend testing.
