An earthenware trefoil serving dish produced by the British pottery S. Fielding & Co. as part of the Royal Devon range. The dish is divided into three shell-moulded and fluted sections radiating from a central point. It features an ornate, scroll-shaped handle finished with heavy gold gilding. Each section is decorated with transfer-printed floral sprays containing pink roses, white blossoms, and blue forget-me-nots, set against a cream-to-yellow ground. The scalloped rims exhibit a light peach-blush tint. The base is marked with a brown printed backstamp featuring a crown symbol above the words ROYAL DEVON and ENGLAND, with S. F. & CO. at the bottom. A hand-painted pattern number X543 is present in red script.

Condition report:
The piece exhibits fine, overall surface crazing to the glaze, which is characteristic of earthenware from this period. There is minor visible wear and rubbing to the gilding on the high points of the handle. No chips, cracks, or signs of professional restoration are visible.
