This British silver bullion coin is a 2023 1 oz Royal Arms issue minted by The Royal Mint. The obverse features the first coinage portrait of King Charles III facing left, designed by Martin Jennings, with the legend CHARLES III · D · G · REX · F · D · 2 POUNDS and the initials MJ visible below the neck. The reverse depicts the Royal Coat of Arms with a crowned lion and unicorn supporting a quartered shield. The central design is surrounded by the Garter motto HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE, with the motto DIEU ET MON DROIT on a scroll at the base. The date 20 23 is positioned at the top, split by the central crown. The background features radial lines for security. The inscription at the bottom edge reads 1 OZ FINE SILVER 999. The coin has a reeded edge.
