A Royal Mint 1992 United Kingdom Proof Coin Collection. The set comprises nine coins and one square commemorative medallion struck in base metal. The coins include a cupro-nickel commemorative 1992-1993 EC Presidency 50p coin, a cupro-nickel standard 50p coin, a nickel-brass one-pound coin, a cupro-nickel twenty-pence coin, two cupro-nickel ten-pence coins representing the large and small size transition types, a cupro-nickel five-pence coin, and bronze-plated steel two-pence and one-penny coins. All coins feature the third definitive coinage portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Raphael Maklouf on the obverse and are struck to a proof finish with frosted relief and mirrored fields. The square medallion is embossed with a crown and transcribed Elizabeth R 1992. The collection is presented in its original dark green faux-leather case with a silver-stamped Royal Mint crest on the lid and a clear plastic protective insert.
Condition report:
The coins are in uncirculated proof condition, exhibiting original lustre with no visible signs of wear or handling, as they remain sealed within the protective plastic insert. The exterior presentation case shows minor surface scuffing and wear to the edges consistent with age and storage.
