Coins, Gold & Silver Bullion Auction
A collection of UK commemorative two pound coins struck in nickel-brass. The assortment includes the 1986 Commonwealth Games issue (KM# 946) featuring the thistle and saltire reverse; the 1989 Tercentenary of the Bill of Rights issue (KM# 959) featuring the crown and royal cypher reverse; and the 1995 50th Anniversary of the End of the Second World War issue (KM# 970) featuring the Dove of Peace reverse. These coins are the larger single-metal specifications issued prior to the transition to bimetallic coinage in 1997.
Condition report:
The coins are in circulated condition, exhibiting visible surface contact marks, light scratches, and minor edge nicks consistent with handling. There are varying levels of original mint lustre and surface toning present across the collection.
