A UK silver coin from the Queen Victoria Jubilee Head series, struck in .925 sterling silver. The obverse features the Joseph Edgar Boehm portrait of Victoria wearing a small crown and veil, surrounded by the Latin legend VICTORIA DEI GRATIA BRITT: REGINA F.D. The reverse displays a crowned, quartered shield of arms within the Garter, which is inscribed with the motto HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE. This design was utilised for both the shilling and the 1887 withdrawn-type sixpence denominations. The coin features a milled edge.
Condition report:
Circulated. The coin exhibits moderate to heavy wear across the higher relief areas of the portrait and the heraldic shield. Significant dark toning and surface patina are present on both the obverse and reverse. The date is not legible.
