A copper halfpenny issued for Ireland under King George II, dated 1760. The obverse displays the laureate, cuirassed bust of the monarch facing right, accompanied by the legend GEORGIUS DEI GRATIA. The reverse features the figure of Hibernia seated and facing left, resting on a harp, with the inscription HIBERNIA above and the date 1760 in the exergue. This issue represents the final year of George II Irish copper coinage.
Condition report:
Good. Significant circulation wear and extensive surface pitting across both faces. The coin has a dark, heavy patina with evidence of environmental corrosion. Central design details are softened, though legends and the date remain legible.
