A complete 1975 coinage of the Cook Islands proof set produced by the Franklin Mint. The set comprises seven denominations: a one-dollar coin featuring the ancient god Tangoroa; a fifty-cent coin (bonito); a twenty-cent coin (fairy tern); a ten-cent coin (oranges in a cluster of leaves); a five-cent coin (hibiscus flower); a two-cent coin (pineapples); and a one-cent coin (taro leaf). The five highest denominations are struck in silver-toned metals, including a sterling silver (0.925) one-dollar coin, while the one and two-cent coins are struck in copper-toned bronze. Each coin exhibits a proof finish characterized by frosted devices and mirrored fields. The set is housed in its original clear plastic airtight holder and presented in a brown textured folder with gold-toned satin lining. Accompanied by the original Certificate of Authenticity hand-dated 1 December 1975 and an information insert from the Franklin Mint.

Condition report:
Coins are in proof condition. Several denominations exhibit significant dark environmental toning and oxidation spots, most notably the silver one-dollar coin and the two copper-toned denominations. The five-cent coin also shows notable surface spotting. The presentation folder displays minor shelf wear and fading to the exterior. There is an ink smudge or mark present on the interior satin lining over the government crest.
