A United Kingdom sterling silver half crown dated 1893. The obverse features the third coinage Old Head or Veiled Head portrait of Queen Victoria facing left, designed by Thomas Brock, with the artist initials T. B. visible on the truncation. The obverse legend reads VICTORIA DEI GRA BRITT REG. The reverse displays a crowned spade-shaped shield of arms within the Garter, with the legend FID DEF IND IMP and the denomination and date HALF 1893 CROWN at the base. The coin is struck in .925 fine silver with a milled edge.

Condition report:
The coin is in a circulated state, displaying moderate wear to the high points of the Queen\'s veil and hair, and the heraldic details on the reverse shield. There is significant dark natural toning and tarnish across both faces, particularly within the recessed areas of the design and legends. The fields exhibit minor surface marks consistent with age and circulation. The rim and milled edge remain largely intact with no major knocks observed.
