Two vintage metal cigarette cases, comprising one standard case and one combination unit with an integrated lighter. The combination piece is marked POLO on the lighter mechanism plate and MADE IN ENGLAND on the internal spring-loaded retaining arm. Both cases are constructed from chrome-plated metal and feature engine-turned linear patterns across the exterior surfaces. The standalone case includes a vacant rectangular monogram cartouche. The interior of the combination case is finished in a gold-toned metal and contains several handwritten inscriptions in pencil and ink, including RBM 302, Channel Ten, Oscillator unit, and various numerical figures.
Condition report:
Both items show visible signs of age and significant use, including surface scratches, tarnishing, and wear to the chrome plating. The interior of the combination case has extensive handwritten notations. The lighter mechanism appears complete with flint and wick present, though it is untested for functionality.
