Lot 54: A Collection of Four Vintage Brooke Bond and PG Tips Picture Card Albums

A collection of four vintage illustrated trade card albums produced by Brooke Bond Oxo Ltd under the Brooke Bond and PG Tips brands, dating from the mid-1970s. These albums were designed to house collectible picture cards found in packets of tea. The titles comprise: Discovering Our Coast, produced in association with the National Trust and featuring UK coastal geography and wildlife; Olympic Greats, which provides biographical information on international athletes including Mary Peters and Alberto Juantorena; Inventors and Inventions, featuring caricatures and entries for historical milestones such as Archimedes Principle and the development of the printed word; and 40 Ways to Play Better Soccer, introduced by Don Revie with instructional text and diagrams. The interior pages contain adhered picture cards in the allocated spaces.
