A pewter chamberstick produced by A. E. Williams, designed in the Neo-Classical revival style of an ancient Roman lucerna oil lamp. The piece is constructed with a stepped circular base and a ringed cylindrical stem supporting a boat-shaped dish. The dish features an elongated protruding spout and a central pricket pin, fitted with a scrolling handle decorated with volute terminals. The upper rim of the dish is struck with a series of touchmarks, including the maker mark A.E.W, a lion, a leopard head, the date letter b, and a commemorative profile portrait mark for the 1937 coronation of King George VI. The metal surface exhibits an original dull grey patina.

Condition report:
