A Chinese cloisonne cremation urn and matching domed cover in the Essence Opal pattern. The baluster shaped body is decorated with an overall millefleurs design consisting of densely packed plum blossoms in shades of cream and off-white against a pale lime-green ground. The piece is constructed with thin metal cloisons on a brass base, finished with polished metal bands at the foot, shoulder, and rims. The interior and underside are coated in a traditional turquoise-blue counter-enamel. A temporary adhesive label marked 713 is present on the base.

Condition report:
The cloisonne enamel surfaces are in good condition with no evidence of significant chips, losses, or cracks. The polished metal bands exhibit light surface tarnishing and minor oxidation consistent with age. The turquoise enamel on the base shows minor pitting and uneven application near the rim, which is consistent with the manufacturing process. Light surface scratches from handling are present.
