This heptagonal specimen features the Boccia reverse design by Justin Schultz and the fourth definitive obverse portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank-Broadley. Struck in cupro-nickel, the coin includes inscriptions for the denomination 50 PENCE, the London 2012 Paralympic logo, and the Latin legend ELIZABETH II D G REG F D 2011. This design is one of twenty-nine commemorative 50p coins released for the event. The coin is presented in a protective acrylic capsule with a black foam insert.
