The reverse design depicts the London skyline, including Big Ben and the London Eye, surrounded by Olympic sport pictograms and inscribed LONDON 2012. The obverse features the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. The coin is housed in its original black cardboard presentation folder featuring silver-toned graphics of London landmarks and a runner, topped with the official London 2012 logo. The folder is contained within a clear plastic hanging sleeve with a header card reading Official Product of London 2012 and bearing the logo for The Royal Mint. The reverse of the packaging includes manufacturer information for The Royal Mint in Llantrisant, a barcode 5026177262602, and an official holographic security label. The packaging is dated 2011.

The item is in its original, unopened retail packaging. The clear plastic outer sleeve exhibits minor shelf wear and light surface scuffing consistent with storage. The coin remains in its issued brilliant uncirculated condition, protected within the inner folder.
