A 2022 South African 1 oz fine silver Krugerrand bullion coin produced by the South African Mint. The obverse depicts a leaping springbok antelope, the national animal of South Africa, positioned between the split year date 20 22. Inscriptions along the border read KRUGERRAND and FYNSILVER 1 OZ FINE SILVER R1, indicating the coin’s legal tender status with a face value of 1 Rand. The initials CLS for the engraver Coert Steynberg are integrated into the design. The reverse features a profile portrait of Paul Kruger, with the country name inscribed as SUID-AFRIKA and SOUTH AFRICA separated by a small diamond motif. The coin is finished with a reeded edge.

Condition report:
The coin shows signs of handling and environmental exposure consistent with being stored outside of a protective capsule. Visible surface scratches and contact marks are present on both the obverse and reverse fields. Significant dark toning and tarnish are visible, particularly around the perimeter and within the recessed lettering. Multiple areas of white milk spotting are evident on the fields of both sides.
