Buyer's Premium:

A collection of British commemorative coins and a medal, primarily celebrating members of the British Royal Family and Winston Churchill. The group includes two cupronickel commemorative crowns issued in 1965 to mark the death of Sir Winston Churchill, featuring a profile portrait of Churchill on the reverse with the inscription CHURCHILL. Also included are three cupronickel commemorative pieces for Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother, including a 1980 crown issued for her 80th birthday featuring a central portrait surrounded by radiating bows and lions, and another piece featuring a detailed floral and heraldic reverse design. At the forefront is a gold-toned commemorative medal housed in a protective circular plastic capsule. This medal features a colour photographic portrait of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, with the border inscribed ELIZABETH AND PHILIP and the dates 1947 and 2007, commemorating their Diamond Wedding Anniversary. The uncased coins exhibit varied metallic surfaces including cupronickel.

Condition report:

The uncased commemorative crowns show varying degrees of surface oxidation, tarnish, and minor contact marks consistent with age and handling. The encapsulated Diamond Wedding Anniversary medal remains in good condition, protected by the plastic housing which shows minor external scuffing.
