A Royal Australian Mint eight-coin uncirculated mint set issued to commemorate the Australian Bicentenary in 1988. The collection includes denominations of $2, $1, 50c, 20c, 10c, 5c, 2c, and 1c. The two-dollar and one-dollar coins are struck in aluminium-bronze, the fifty-cent, twenty-cent, ten-cent, and five-cent coins are struck in copper-nickel, and the two-cent and one-cent coins are struck in bronze. The obverse of each coin bears the Raphael Maklouf effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. Notable reverse types include the commemorative 1788-1988 fifty-cent piece and the two-dollar coin featuring an Aboriginal Elder. The coins are housed in the original yellow card insert and pictorial outer sleeve which depicts a historical harbour scene and carries the Australian Bicentennial logo.
Condition report:
The coins remain in uncirculated condition as issued by the mint. The internal yellow card folder is in good order. The outer pictorial sleeve shows minor signs of edge wear, corner rubbing, and light surface scuffing consistent with handling and storage.
