A 2008 UK commemorative two pound coin issued by The Royal Mint to mark the Olympic Games Handover Ceremony from Beijing to London. The bi-metallic coin is struck with a cupro-nickel inner core and a nickel-brass outer ring. The reverse design, created by The Royal Mint Engraving Team, depicts two hands passing the Olympic flag, with the Olympic rings below and the inscriptions BEIJING 2008 and LONDON 2012. The obverse features the fourth definitive portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. The coin is presented in its original illustrated Royal Mint presentation folder, which bears a London 2012 holographic security label and the barcode 5026177191827 on the reverse.
Condition report:
The coin is in brilliant uncirculated condition, exhibiting sharp details and original mint luster. The presentation folder shows minor shelf wear and light rubbing to the corners and edges.
