This lot comprises a 2004 United Kingdom 50-pence coin issued by The Royal Mint to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the first sub-four-minute mile. The coin is a seven-sided equilateral curve heptagon struck in cupro-nickel. It is housed within its original Royal Mint Brilliant Uncirculated presentation folder. The packaging includes a fold-out card featuring historical photography and text relating to the event on 6 May 1954, as well as a separate printed insert titled The Mile World Record Holders Since Roger Bannister, which lists record times and athletes from 1954 to 1999.

Condition report:
The coin remains in its original Brilliant Uncirculated condition as issued, with no signs of circulation or handling marks visible through the packaging. The presentation folder and insert are in good condition, showing only minor shelf wear and light scuffing at the corners and edges.
