A 1989 commemorative two pound coin issued by the Royal Mint to mark the tercentenary of the Bill of Rights. The reverse design by John Lobban features the interlaced ciphers of William III and Mary II beneath a royal crown, flanked by a parliamentary mace and the Sword of State. The reverse bears the inscription TERCENTENARY OF THE BILL OF RIGHTS and the dates 1689 and 1989. The obverse depicts the third portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Raphael Maklouf. The coin is struck in a nickel-brass alloy and is presented in its original Royal Mint illustrated presentation folder containing historical information regarding the joint monarchy and the Declaration of Rights.
