An assortment of mid-twentieth century British military uniform accessories and accoutrements, primarily associated with the Royal Army Ordnance Corps. The assortment comprises a pair of vintage brown leather wrap-around leggings of Stohwasser design, featuring integrated leather straps and metal buckles. The interior of the leather shows indistinct stamps. Also included is a Field Service side cap in navy blue wool with a red crown, finished with two gold-toned front buttons embossed with the Royal Army Ordnance Corps insignia. Additionally, the lot contains a Royal Army Ordnance Corps stable belt in navy blue with three horizontal red stripes, secured by a circular silver-tone buckle inscribed Royal Army Ordnance Corps with a central gilt corps device. Completing the assortment is a white canvas webbing parade belt fitted with a rectangular chrome-plated buckle bearing an applied bi-metal General Service crest of a lion standing upon a crown.
Condition report:
The items are in good vintage condition overall. The leather leggings show surface scuffing, creasing, and minor age-related wear to the straps, though the leather remains supple. The wool side cap and stable belt display light wear consistent with service use. The chrome and silver-toned plating on the buckles remains bright with only minor surface scratches and light tarnish.
