An antique cast iron kettle featuring a sand-cast body finished in a matt black. The vessel is constructed with a traditional gooseneck spout and a fixed, arched overhead handle attached to the shoulders. It is complete with a fitted, domed lid featuring a small central finial. On the flattened lugs where the handle joins the body, there are two circular impressions. The left impression shows a faint, raised character, possibly a capacity indicator or foundry mark, while the right is illegible. The surface displays a coarse texture typical of period sand-casting.
