A collection of costume jewellery brooches in various designs. The assortment includes: a stylised butterfly brooch in yellow gold-tone metal, featuring four large pear-shaped faceted emerald-green glass stones to the wings and an oval faceted emerald-green stone to the thorax, further decorated with pavé-set clear and green round rhinestones; a long-stemmed floral brooch in gold-tone metal with a textured red enamel flower head and green enamel stem and leaves; a large silver-tone metal floral brooch in high relief, featuring a central cream faux pearl and radiating stamens; and an openwork filigree foliate starburst brooch in textured gold-tone metal, centred with a pear-shaped blue glass stone and accented with small cream faux pearls and teal, yellow, and clear rhinestones. No maker’s marks or hallmarks are visible on the pieces.
Condition report:
The brooches are in mixed condition. The butterfly brooch appears in generally good condition with all stones present and the metal remaining bright. The enamelled flower brooch shows noticeable wear and chipping to the green enamel on the stem and leaves. The large silver-tone floral brooch exhibits significant surface wear, scuffing, and tarnish across the petals. The filigree brooch shows wear to the gold-tone plating on raised edges, and the faux pearls display signs of peeling and wear to the nacre coating.
