A 1999 commemorative Philatelic Numismatic Cover (PNC) issued for the marriage of HRH The Prince Edward and Miss Sophie Rhys-Jones. The cover features a pair of UK stamps, SG 2091 and SG 2092, depicting the couple in monochrome photographic portraits. These stamps are cancelled with a commemorative Windsor, Berkshire circular date stamp dated 15 June 1999, which was the official first day of issue. Inset into the cover is a Royal Mint five pound coin featuring the couple in profile on the reverse. The cover is part of a limited edition, bearing the serial number 05250, and is presented on an original descriptive display sheet titled Great Britain The Edward & Sophie Royal Wedding Stamp Collection. The entire assembly is preserved within a clear protective sleeve.
Condition report:
The cover and accompanying stamps are in fine condition with clear, well-struck cancellations and intact perforations. The presentation sheet is crisp and free from visible foxing, staining, or creasing. The coin appears to be in brilliant uncirculated condition as issued, with no observable toning or surface marks through the protective plastic window.
