This lot comprises two vintage die-cast toy racing cars from the Tri-ang Mini Hi-Way Series, manufactured in England by Lines Bros Ltd. Each vehicle features a die-cast metal body with plastic cockpit inserts and engine detailing, fitted with metal axles and textured tyres. The first car features a silver-painted body with red-painted suspension components and a red plastic seat. The nose section retains a decal depicting the number 5 and the text NURBURG. The second car features a green-painted body with yellow-painted suspension components and a yellow plastic seat. The nose section retains a decal featuring a Union Jack flag, the number 7, and the text SILVERSTONE. The base of each vehicle is embossed with the following marks: Tri-ang REGD. TRADE MARK, MADE IN ENGLAND, and MINI HI-WAY SERIES. The silver car is marked with the letter B on the base, and the green car is marked with the letter A on the base.
Condition report:
Both items are in played-with condition with visible signs of age and wear. There is significant paint chipping and loss to the die-cast bodies, particularly on the front nose sections and along the edges. The decals are present but show scuffing, wear, and some peeling. Both vehicles appear to be missing their original driver figures and windshield components. There is some oxidisation visible on the metal axles and hub components. No original packaging is included.
