A set of glazed earthenware tea wares decorated with vibrant, hand-painted fruit motifs. The collection includes a teapot and several cups with matching saucers. The teapot features a large pear design on an orange ground, accented with red and white striped bands at the rim and base. The cups and saucers are individually themed, featuring motifs of an apple, strawberry, and citrus fruits, with coordinating striped patterns on the saucers. The designs are characterised by the use of thick, raised white outlines defining the fruit shapes. The style is reminiscent of contemporary craft or ‘paint-your-own’ ceramic kits. No maker’s marks or factory stamps are visible on the pieces.
Condition report:
The set is in good overall condition. A small chip is present on the outer rim of the blue and white striped saucer. The interiors of the cups exhibit minor surface soiling and light staining consistent with use. There are no other visible cracks, chips, or signs of repair.
