A vintage three-way cobbler’s or shoemaker’s last, manufactured from cast iron. The tool features three distinct arms, each terminating in a differently shaped anvil surface designed for various shoe repair tasks, including work on heels and soles. The entire piece is finished in a white coating, which appears to be paint or enamel. One arm is cast with the maker’s name SWAIN in capital letters. Another arm features the cast characters NO 3, denoting the model or size number.
Condition report:
The item is in used vintage condition. The white surface coating is heavily chipped and worn throughout, revealing the dark cast iron and patches of surface oxidation beneath. The cast iron structure remains intact with no apparent cracks or structural failures.
