A United Kingdom commemorative five-pound crown coin struck by the Royal Mint in 2000 to mark the centenary of Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother. The coin is composed of cupro-nickel and features both obverse and reverse designs by Ian Rank-Broadley (FRBS, FSNAD). The reverse design depicts a portrait of the Queen Mother wearing a coronet and veil, with the legend Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, the dates 1900-2000, and the denomination Five Pounds. Below the bust is a facsimile of her signature, Elizabeth R. The coin is presented in its original maroon-coloured illustrated folder, which provides a biographical account of her life alongside historical photographs.
