A trio of numismatic items comprising a 2004 Guernsey five pound coin and two 2006 United Kingdom fifty pence coins. The Guernsey issue is housed in an Operation Overlord presentation pack, commemorating the 60th anniversary of the D-Day landings in conjunction with the Royal British Legion. The cupro-nickel crown-sized coin features a reverse design by David Cornell with a selectively coloured red poppy and an obverse effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank-Broadley. Accompanying the pack are two 2006 UK fifty pence coins marking the 150th anniversary of the Victoria Cross, mounted in Change Checker cards. One reverse features the Victoria Cross medal design, and the other features the Heroic Acts design. This collection commemorates significant 20th-century military milestones.
