A detailed decorative model of a traditional bow-top gypsy caravan or vardo, pulled by a large draught horse. The horse is constructed from high-gloss brown glazed ceramic with white feathered legs and a blaze, harnessed with faux-leather straps and decorative metal chains. The caravan is primarily made of wood, featuring a tiered roof and lattice-work side windows. The front seating area includes two painted composition figures of an elderly man driving and a woman holding a cat. The rear of the caravan has double doors with gilt horseshoe motifs and a red-toned lattice window, accompanied by a removable wooden ladder. The interior houses a mechanical music box movement and various loose miniature items including a seated pierrot figure playing an accordion, a second cat, and a small metal vessel.
Condition report:
The model is in good decorative condition. Visible adhesive residue is present around the rear door window and the gilt horseshoe fittings. The interior miniature figures and metal pot are loose within the caravan. The mechanical music box movement is untested and functionality is not guaranteed. General surface wear and light dust are commensurate with age and display.
