A collection of United Kingdom pre-decimal currency and Commonwealth commemorative crown-sized pieces. The set includes several UK denominations including the Half Crown, Two Shillings, One Shilling, Sixpence, Three Pence, Penny, and Half Penny, with visible dates including 1966 and 1967. These are presented in a blue folding display folder. Accompanying the folder are four commemorative twenty-five pence pieces housed in individual plastic holders: a Gibraltar Silver Wedding anniversary coin (1947-1972); an Isle of Man Silver Wedding anniversary coin (1947-1972); a Tristan da Cunha Silver Jubilee coin (1977) featuring a sailing ship; and an Isle of Man Silver Jubilee Appeal Fund coin (1977). The obverses feature the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II with various inscriptions including ELIZABETH II DEI GRATIA REGINA F.D. and the names of the issuing territories. The commemorative pieces are struck in copper-nickel.
Condition report:
The coins generally appear in uncirculated to extremely fine condition, retaining much of their original mint lustre. Some pieces exhibit light surface toning or minor contact marks consistent with age and storage. The commemorative coins remain protected within their original plastic capsules or holders. The blue display folder shows minor shelf wear to the edges.
