A collection of international banknotes and currency vouchers housed in a red, gold-embossed leatherette pocket album. The collection features a UK British Armed Forces 2nd Series One Pound special voucher, serial AA/9 842814, issued by Command of the Army Council and printed by Thomas De La Rue & Company Limited. Also included is a Zimbabwe Fifty Billion Dollars hyperinflation note dated 2008, serial AA0074226. Other notes in the collection include a Mexico 50 Pesos polymer note featuring José María Morelos, serial U2216474; a Ukraine 1 Hryvnia note featuring Volodymyr the Great; and a China 1980 5 Wu Jiao note. Further examples include Belarus 50 Rublei (2000 series) and 50 Kapeyek (1992 series) notes, a Myanmar 5 Kyats note featuring a Chinthe lion, and a Mongolia 20 Tögrög note featuring Damdin Sükhbaatar. The notes are stored in clear plastic sleeves within the landscape-format album.
Condition report:
Condition across the collection ranges from circulated to uncirculated. The Zimbabwe Fifty Billion Dollars note and the Ukraine 1 Hryvnia appear in uncirculated (UNC) condition with crisp paper and sharp corners. The UK British Armed Forces voucher is in extremely fine (EF) condition, retaining original sheen with no heavy vertical or horizontal folds visible through the sleeve. The Mexico 50 Pesos and Belarus notes show signs of light circulation including soft corner wear. The album cover exhibits minor surface scuffing and light shelf wear.
