A commemorative medal struck in 2015 to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Britain. Struck in solid bronze and layered in pure silver with a proof finish, the piece is accompanied by an official Certificate of Commemorative Specifications. The obverse features the Royal Air Force crest type over a frosted 75 background, with the inscription BATTLE OF BRITAIN 75TH ANNIVERSARY and dates 1940 and 2015. The reverse features a central enamelled RAF roundel type, stylized aircraft, and an outer border naming sixteen contributing nations: United Kingdom, Poland, New Zealand, Canada, Czechoslovakia, Belgium, Australia, South Africa, France, Ireland, United States, Southern Rhodesia, Jamaica, Barbados, Newfoundland, and Northern Rhodesia. The inner field contains text listing various air and support service roles. The edition was limited to 250,000 pieces.
