This lot comprises a pair of United Kingdom 50 pence coins, each secured within an individual blue bifold presentation card. The first coin is a 2022 issue commemorating the Platinum Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II, displaying the obverse equestrian portrait by John Bergdahl with inscriptions E II R and 1952-2022. The second coin is a historical specimen featuring the seated Britannia reverse design with NEW PENCE and 50 inscriptions, characteristic of the 1969 to 1981 series. Both specimens are struck in cupro-nickel with an equilateral curve heptagonal form. The packaging for each coin features a silver holographic security label from NGC with the text UNITED KINGDOM UNCIRCULATED and CERTIFIED BRILLIANT. The left card features the official emblem for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee 2022.
Condition report:
Both coins are in brilliant uncirculated condition, retaining full original mint lustre and sharp design definition. There are no visible signs of wear or surface impairment. The presentation cards and holographic seals are in excellent, undamaged condition.
